In the context of the first report “The Waste of Others” POLYPROBLEM hosted a four-part online seminar series, in which experts from the report discussed different topics with the audience. Among the invited experts were Dorothea Wipplinger (Borealis / Project STOP), Cordia Aziz (Environment 360), Helmut Schmitz (Der Grüne Punkt) as well as Michael Alberg-Seberich (Wider Sense) and Dr. Peter Nitschke (Plastic Bank).

The online seminar series focused on the following topics:
– Waste management in Asia and the conditions for successful local cooperation
– The needs of local NGOs on the ground in the fight against the plastic flood
– The concept of extended producer responsibility
– Scaling approaches for a faster transfer of successful waste management models in the Global South
