This convenient package includes (4) KleenWater KW810 grooved cartridges and (2) KW101RG o-rings. The cartridges are 4.5” (W) X 9.75” (L) and are rated for 5 micron sediment entrapment. These cartridges are compatible with Whirlpool Water Filter WHKF-DWHBB. The raised groove designed has a very impressive surface area which prolongs the service life of the cartridge. The KW810 cartridge is compatible with Whirlpool Model WHKF-WHPLBB and Filtrete Model 4WH-HDGR-F01. Replace cartridge every 6 months or upon substantial pressure reduction. Please note this cartridge does not have the plastic end caps. The end caps are decorative and are not integral to the cartridge performance. The o-rings are constructed of nitrile Buna rubber and compatible with Whirlpool Model WHKF-DWHBB and GE models GXWH30C GXWH35F GXWH40 .*Occasionally there are concerns that these filters without the end caps will not be a compatible replacement for the more expensive filters with end caps and gaskets. Please rest assured these will work very well and consider this brief explanation: Creating the upper and lower seal takes some strength and effort. Located on the bottom of the water filter sump and the under side of the filter head are sharp circular rings. These rings cut into the water filter to create the seal. The cartridge is made of polypropylene which is slightly pliable. Therefore when the filter sump is screwed to the filter head the cartridge gets squeezed and the rings create a circular crease on the bottom and top of the cartridge. This is a very simple installation. If you want to soften the cartridge to make it even more simple soak the filter in slightly hot water for 10 minutes prior to installation. This will slightly soften the cartridge.
