The Pack was created in the summer of 2006. I was looking for a way to create buy-in and unselfishness. Promote an understanding from within as to who we are, what we want to achieve and how we are going to do it. An overall clarity was what I wanted to create. I needed to identify what I liked to do offensively and create a system that players would take pride in and want to be a part of. Because what it all boils down to is that people crave an Identity and want to be a small part of something bigger than themselves.What I have learned along this journey is that to become a master coach, teacher, or top-notch professional in whatever field you are in, you must put into writing and define what you do and what you need those around you to do. Then put a definition to it, organize it, prioritize it and ultimately accomplish it. These steps put an identity to and ultimately bring to life your Vision for the future.So in 2006, coming off the worst season of my career and wracking my brain in frustration, I made it a point to record, write down, define and identify everything it is that we do.
