His multifaceted career includes academic, governmental, and private-sector roles. However, he has found his greatest impact in the social sector, where he founded the San Pancho Bird Observatory in 2011. In 2010, he created the sustainable birdwatching tourism initiative “Birding San Pancho,” becoming a leader in environmentally responsible practices.In 2022, he founded MX-BRD-TRVL, an initiative designed to promote sustainability within the birdwatching industry by integrating national and international markets.
