In addition, we share selected information on the issue of plastics and the environment that have particularly been of interest to us. In the future, a curated database of knowledge is to be created here, which will facilitate research for all those who strive to find solutions to the global challenge of plastic waste.
Most of the plastic waste ends up in the oceans from emerging and developing countries of the Global South. The efforts of politics, companies, science and NGOs to achieve comprehensive waste management in these countries are correspondingly diverse. But do these many projects help at all?
